Architectural Designer/BIM Designer

SUMMARY


Our growing architectural firm is seeking a passionate and ambitious Architectural Designer/BIM Designer to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for candidates who have recently completed or are in the process of completing a Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design.

As an Architectural Designer/BIM Designer, you will assist in generating Construction Documents, designing structures, and communicating with clients while working alongside senior architects. You will have the opportunity to learn technical skills, build a comprehensive understanding of how a real-world project comes together from start to finish, and grow into a team leader or Senior Designer role.

We welcome candidates with some working experience, but it is not required. We offer rolling start dates and a flexible part-time schedule to accommodate those who may be returning to school in the next year.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Produces architecturally accurate construction documents
  • Creates accurate and detailed drawings of Architectural documents for permitting
  • Works with Architects assisting with various projects
  • Helps to plan and design buildings
  • Works on design drawings
  • Assists in reviewing project proposals and specs
  • Helps with compiling required paperwork and documents for projects
  • Helps coordinate details of architectural projects


REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field
  • In the process of obtaining master’s degree OR 1-2 years of experience in interior design or related field
  • Proficient skills in Revit/BIM software
  • Ability to create architecturally accurate floor plans, dimension plans, RCP plans
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent computer drafting abilities
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, triage assigned work
  • Self-motivated to work independently, while also supporting team vision and goals
  • Additional experience in the areas of web development, graphic design, urban planning, engineering MEP systems, and construction management are a plus!
